We know a thing or two about measuring—and so can you. For step-by-step instructions and helpful tips, download our measuring guide.

Things To Keep In Mind

Go Imperial

Most cabinets and appliances are measured in inches. Make your measurements, floor plans, and wall drawings accordingly.

Take Two—Or Five

Drawing anything is a process. If it takes you a few drafts to get to a workable floor plan, you’re in good company.

Add Call-Outs

For detailed interiors, floor plans and elevation drawings can get crowded. Try writing the measurements for different elements in different colors to avoid confusion.
